Unexpected surprise on the streets of Manchester

Today Adam, came to pick me up in the city centre after work as my bike had a major breakdown (I have suspicion that both our bikes are getting really anxious about the fact of being left behind). Anyway as I waited on the junction for him to turn up so that we can cycle home on our tandem bike, this is what I have seen…

… so Adam got really excited and we get to talk to the guy in this really sci-fi model. He was searching for a hotel and shower and so we gave him company to Albert square. Not that we are the best people to ask about hotels and restaurants in this city. Anyway, some of you may have guessed but this is sort of a bicycle (just with two extra wheels). And also it can be a boat. Ebrahim has pedalled from Holland to Manchester across the land and water as well. He is now on his first oversea tour to test the vehicle and then he will set off to complete the ride around the world, which has the motto: “Pedalling the Equator for a better Educated World”. You can follow his adventure on his website, or facebook.

Well, what can we say – good luck and power to your knees! We will surely keep an eye on this and maybe one day we will be lucky enough and with something similar maybe our dream of visiting friends in Mexico without the use of airplane will come true.
