First trip

We had a good summer weather the last weekend in August. So after loads of evening spent on planning of a bike trip this summer we finally head off with M out into the wild.

It was a short trip – compared to our previous ones, however, it was one of the most challenging ones for sure. First of all, this was our first trip with almost full load since last summer when we went to Southern Moravia for about three days as I couldn’t manage more sleeping in a tent at the end of eight months of pregnancy. Second, this trip was M’s first overnight/all-day cycling trip. And then there was the fact that we had no bicycle seat for M so I had her in our Ergo carrier all the time (which was in a way good for when she is born she nurses herself to sleep) and we are in no good shape 9and also it was very hilly). Long gone are those days that we could cycle with full load more than 100km and not feel it in our legs.

But we cycled through some beautiful scenery from Olomouc all the way to my mum’s place via my aunt and cousins’ place (sadly as I had M on my back I couldn’t take any photos – maybe next time when we have the seat for her). The trip was just under 130km and we now know that the weekend trips will be ideal for the next spring and summer. Can’t wait to head off again. But until then we shall enjoy time with our families not moving and capable of taking photos.
